JOHN PIPER (1903-1992).
Painter and printmaker,born in Epsom and trained at Richmond school of Art and later the Royal College.His enormous body of work was mostly of landscape and architectural subjects-especially churches.A prolific and distinctive printmaker, he is hugely collected today, the values of his his work have risen meteorically in recent years.
The prints on offer here are original lithographs from 'English, Scottish and Welsh Landscape'.Printed by the Curwen Press in 1944.Image size 12x18cm.
